A little about STEVE

Over the course of his career, Steve has created more than 200 original works, now held in private collections worldwide. He has exhibited internationally in the UK, Paris, and Tokyo, and has taken part in numerous group and solo exhibitions across Ireland. His work has also been featured on television and in national newspapers and magazines, reflecting growing recognition both within and beyond the art world.
Alongside his studio practice, Steve brings an unusually broad professional background. He is a Chartered Engineer, a qualified pilot, a mountain expedition leader, a UEFA qualified soccer coach and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Global Angels Foundation, an international charity focused on sustainable community development. This blend of technical rigour, leadership, and creative intuition informs both his artistic practice and his approach to education—balancing structure with openness, and discipline with trust in the process.
Steve Bradbury is a contemporary Irish artist, educator, and creative entrepreneur based in Dublin. Working primarily in oils, he paints with the looseness and transparency of a watercolourist, using layered techniques that allow paint to drip, pool, and settle organically. His work focuses on light, movement, and atmosphere, capturing moments in time rather than precise detail. The resulting paintings are calm, contemporary, and designed to live with the viewer—works that reveal more through repeated looking rather than immediate impact. Whilst he is primarily known for his landscapes, he is equally adept at wildlife, portraiture and figurative painting.
Steve is the co-founder and director of SparkNet Ltd, a city-centre gallery and art school built around a simple, artist-led principle: we sell art and do art classes. Through SparkNet, he exhibits his own work alongside other contemporary artists while also teaching oil painting, delivering workshops, and running structured art foundation courses for adults and young people. He also uses his lifelong experiences to help mentor artists on their artistic journeys.
